Description
Here is the steps to reproduce the issue:
- Install a scratch instance with one user and a starter license.
- create a new user group "jira-test" and add the admin user in the group.
- On the LDAP repository, create the same admin user, with those three default JIRA groups and the new group "jira-test", then add the admin user to the default groups only.
- Create a new user directory on JIRA with the LDAP connector by using the read only ldap permission.
- Push the new user directory in the first place and trigger the synchronization.
- Logout then login again with the LDAP admin user.
- go to the license page, it shows there are two active users which is wrong as only admin user is active for the instance.
This issue only reproduced with the newly created groups, but also, it could happen for the default groups as well.
As a workaround solution, it can add the admin user in the new group on the LDAP repository.
