When a large number of projects are accessible by a user, the project drop down list becomes hard to use. See attached screen shot which is taken from this JIRA Studio instance.

I feel it should not be necessary to have to go to a another page to find the project that you are looking for, particularly as selecting "View All Projects" requires you to scan the list from the default landing page.

I think having an AJAX style "Search:" whereby typing characters will search against project keys and titles would make it a lot easier to find the project you are looking for.

This differs from the "Search" box in the top right corner which searches for content of projects/spaces, which I think is useful as is.
