Description
Basically, today I have receive 2 issue regarding on certificate error for screenshot applet in JIRA. User complaint that they already follow the exact instruction on this knowledge base article: Certificate Error in JIRA Screenshot Applet
However, the certificate for screenshot Applet on latest JIRA version which is 5.2.4.1 is already expired on 17 January 2013.
To verify this:
- Download the latest JIRA version 5.2.4.1 archive version in here
- Go to atlassian-jira\secure\applet\jira-screenshot-applet-5.2.4.jar
- Extract jira-screenshot-applet-5.2.4.jar
- Then you will found C:\atlassian-jira-5.2.4-standalone\atlassian-jira\secure\applet\jira-screenshot-applet-5.2.4\META-INF\ATLASSIA.RSA
- Open internet explorer, tools > internet options > under content tab
- click on certificates > import > browse to the ATLASSIA.RSA > next > select Automatically select the cerificate store based on the type of certificate > next > finish
- Go back to certificate > under other people tab > select the Atlassian Pty Ltd > click view
Here you go the screenshot attached which is showing 1 / 17 / 2013 as the expiration.
