Description
We use validators in the Create transition, hope this is supported at all.
This let's us do all kind of validations. One of them is to check if a field is not empty if another field has a specific value. This validation works great when we create issues using the "Create Issue" link.
Now when the issue is cloned and the validation condition does not match (e.g. because the input variables for the condition changed) the operation silently fails and the issue is displayed with two self referencing links.
This should be easily reproducable by just changing the validating condition of the create transition to fail always. In this case, one cannot clone issues attached to the changed workflow anymore.
If an error message would be displayed and the issue would not have two links that would be ok but as it is implemented now, JIRA creates inconsistencies in the issue.
This should be fixed IMHO
