I would like to have the possibility to define a regex for password complexity in JIRA, so that the users dont get cryptic exceptions, when they try to change their passwords and do not meet the minimum requirements of the underlying directory.

This screenshot shows, what happens, if a user tries to change his password without giving at least one number, which is mandatory for the Active directory server, JIRA is connected to.

This request is essentially similar to the one raised for crowd: CWD-1014
