NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Server. Using JIRA Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

Currently, the Activity Stream in JIRA only supports the following:

      1. Project
      2. JIRA Issue Key
      3. Update Date
      4. Username
      5. Activity
      6. Issue Type

It will be better if there is a function whereby you are able to use custom JQL to filter out the Activity Stream.

"Filters Activity Stream" is not compatible with Jira 10 due to all the platform changes. I've not been able to reach the author, and the last published update was a year ago. I'm beginning to think this add-on has been abandoned. Are there any other alternatives?

There is a plugin named "Filters Activity Stream" which does exactly this (and nothing more), it costs USD 0.40 per user, just for that simple feature... That is how Atlassian makes money :X

It's painful not to be able to see activity stream on the exact issue set I want to.

+1 - My project just got transferred into a larger project but I can still manage everything using a label. Well, everything except my activity stream.

Now that Jira is venturing into project management areas with the name change from Roadmaps to Timeline, and the addition of Advanced Roadmaps, it makes sense to pick this request back up again. For those of us in PM roles, we can manage multiple projects in JIRA. JIRA's activity stream is very beneficial but the filters are currently very limited.  Yes I can add multiple projects but one of those projects is massive and has multiple PM's assigned to it.  Example I have 5 projects assigned to me. In my activity stream on my dashboard I would need to see all activity from 4 projects, and then filtered where I am the watcher on tickets from the 5th (larger) project.

Jira team, there were over 200 votes on https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRASERVER-19155, can we take that into account since these appear to be duplicates?
