Sustained ESC keypress to close share popup stops shortcut keys working

1. Go to the view issue page.
2. Open the share popup.
3. Press and hold ESC for long enough to fire more than one keypress event.
4. Type "?".

Result: The shortcut help dialog is not shown. Shortcut keys don't work.
