Provide users the opportunity to edit LDAP details and change the user schema settings when using delegated directory

      At the moment if users create a delegated LDAP directory and by any means the default user schema settings needs modification, users will have two options only:

      1. Edit the directory by updating from database which is error prompt and not actually recommended.
      2. Edit the directory, enable the copy user on first login, make changes, uncheck the option again and then save the directory.

      It will be nice if this directory type will allow users the ability to ammend the user schema settings freely.

            Hi Norman,

            This issue was raised against the JIRA 4.4.x. I am not sure if this still affects JIRA 6. yen@atlassian.com is this issue still valid in later JIRA?

            This sounds more like a bug report than an Improvement request?
