There are post functions that autoassign to various role members, and there is a Default Assignee configuration for each project, but there is no way within a project to make any ticket not otherwise assigned to some one else to be autoassigned to the reporter (that I've found).

It's not an earth-shattering fix, but it would certainly speed things up for us.
