We've seen a spike in issues reported by "Anonymous" in the past two weeks on JAC. This seemed to coincide with the new Quick Create dialog being used to create issues.
The issue is that if the reporter isn't visible in the dialog, it is left empty when the issue is created. This is the wrong behaviour – the default reporter should be current user, and only empty if the user is actually not logged in.
Steps to reproduce:
- Log in as a user on JAC
- Click the 'Create Issue' link on the toolbar
- Ensure the dialog doesn't have the Reporter field visible (true by default)
- Change the project on the issue
- Create an issue
Expected behaviour:
- The Reporter of the new issue is the user who created the issue
Actual behaviour:
- The Reporter is "Anonymous".
Update: this only happens when I change the project in the Create Issue dialog while creating the issue, which also clears out other fields: summary, etc. delkan thinks this could be related that that issue.
