After specifying a release date of a project, upon viewing the versions in the Project Road Map, the date displayed will not be consistent with the date specified when creating the version.
- In the manage version screen
- In the Project Road Map
Steps to reproduce:
- Deploy JIRA 4.4 or above
- Change the user timezone setting (example, default timezone is GMT +8, change the user timezone to GMT +0)
- Create a Version, and specify the release date
- Go to the project Road Map, and we can see that the release date is displayed a day earlier than the exact date specified
It seems that the release date is following the server timezone setting, instead of the user timezone configured in the UI. This however, may cause confusion and complication to the users that has different timezone setting.
When specifying a release date of a project, it seems that the date will be auto adjusted based on the user timezone settings.
