As far as can be understood, the option to specify a new default directory for service backups has been removed since JIRA 4.2. As seen in this documentation. Yet, the tick box still remains to "Use Default Directory". Can the tick box be removed so that it only comes up if that directory has been set for people who have managed to set that before 4.2 as this confuses customers thinking that it can be set. I could otherwise not find the variable to be set in 4.3 jira-application.properties etc...
