      Steps:
      1. Setup JIRA behind apache using docs at http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Integrating+JIRA+with+Apache
      2. Goto Admin->Applinks.
      3. Try to create a two way applinks to any application. I tried creating with Fisheye. In the step 2 check "Create a link back to this server.", enter user id and pwd and click "next".

      Result:
      1. It fail with error "The Remote application is not able to connect to 'JIRA Test-171'(JIRA) by using the URL 'http://172.20.9.68/jira'"

            We do not plan to make applinks work when Apache is configured to require both Basic Auth and the authentication required by JIRA.

            This problem is only happening when basic authentication is enable for apache server. Once I remove the authentication, it start working without any issue.
