      NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Server. Using JIRA Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

      Would it be possible to make PortletConfigurationStore a public component, so that the appropriate implementation can be pulled in by plugins using <component-import>?
      We need PortletConfigurationStore in Studio for upgrade tasks that modify/replace gadgets. We're currently using ComponentManager.getComponentInstanceOfType(), but a <component-import> would be cleaner.
