Exact-match searcher for text fields

    • We collect Jira feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

      Current google-like text search makes impossible to make fields for an issue that can serve as string ids. So, there is a need for an exact-match search for a string in some custom text fields.

            However as Brendan mentions this is very complicated. It's also not something we would add to JIRA in the next few years so I would rather close this request now to let everyone know where we stand on this topic.
