      Hello,

Today, the only way of adding a block of custom text to the top of a subscription email is by editing the template file atlassian-jira-enterprise-4.1.2-standalone\atlassian-jira\WEB-INF\classes\templates\email\html\filtersubscription.vm.

But the problem is that, when a customer needs to change this block of custom text many times a day, he needs to always restart his JIRA instance, so this solution doesn't really work.

It would be great if there was a way to configure this through the Administration GUI.

A suggestion is to add a variable somewhere in the filtersubscription.vm, for example ${subscriptionText}, that displays what was configured in the Administration GUI. If nothing is configured in the Administration GUI, this variable is left blank.

Please let me know if you need further explanation.
