Description
NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Server. Using JIRA Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.
I'd would like to be able to not allow a user to submit a bug to be fixed for a version thats already released. These bugs generally fall by the wayside and I have to periodically go move then to the appropriate release. For example, a user will log a bug against version 4.0.0 when they should have been logging it against 4.0.1. 4.0.0 being the released version and 4.0.1 will be its maintenance release.
I really don't see a reason why anyone would want to log a bug against a released version anyway but I would be happy to be able to have an option for it somewhere.
