Some searches on project + version combinations erroneously send users to the Advanced Search page with a 'query is too complex' exception

      Currently a JQL search on something like:
      project = CQM AND fixVersion = "2.2"

      Throws a 'query is too complex' error because we have more than one project with version 2.2.
      It seems you shouldn't have to look up internal IDs in the system to execute a simple query like this.

      Also users now are forced to jump into advanced query mode and look up internal IDs of versions so it appears to users that the system has regressed in usability.

      We can't be the only people who have projects with version numbering that runs parallel in different projects.

      It seems like this could be fixed by grouping results by project.
