We upgraded to JIRA this week and the most common complaint I have had (and I tend to agree with them) is that the current Issue view has way too much white space. In the previous versions there was more of a delineation between each field and its value whereas now the fields are all blended on the white background without and kind of break between the fields. The light grey Label headings also don't help make it easy to read.

The feature I think everyone wants is to have some shades from field to field. This will make it easier to read.

Also is there anyway that you can make the lines customizable like you do on the header and Menu bar?
