I would like more automation in JIRA. (It would be nice if I could set issues under a particular project to have particular defaults (even for custom fields).)

I create clones from development issues on a daily basis. Each clone contains pretty much the same info: same assignee, verifier, release (fix) version, type. It would be nice if I could set issues under a particular project to have particular defaults (even for custom fields). Or--be able to choose a template (with the appropriate fields already populated) when cloning issues.
