Description
On IE 7, when the description field of a component contain certain characters, this component do not show up in issue statistics gadget by component (dashboard) or the name of the component do not show up. It works on Firefox.
We have about 15 to 20 components in one project and we are doing an issue statistics gadget by component, listing. Some components do not show up.
Actually, I figured out the problem...If the component description contains a certain set of characters then it causes the component name to hide from dashboard:issue statistics gadget. Only in IE, Firefox and Chrome do not have this problem.
Failed descriptions (Exact description within Quotes):
"There was an issue with the credit card. I.E It couldn't "Working description:
"There was an issue with the credit card. I.E It couldn't"These are the three descriptions that were failing for me, all had an ending space. If there is a short description with a space at the end, the dashboard works properly.
"There was an issue with the credit card. I.E It couldn't be read by the card reader, it was being declined etc. "
"issue came about because the unit didn't have power. It may not be plugged into the wall or the PC was turned off (this would also be hardware). "
"Any technical issue that we come across I.E Unit is frozen, stuck in a boot process, not all the channels show up, internet browser issues, etc. "
