Session Expired message appears when trying to edit the Issue Type Scheme associated with a project

XMLWordPrintable

    • 4.01
    • Severity 2 - Major

      Steps to reproduce:

      1. Copy the default Issue Type Scheme so that there is a new scheme available
      2. Create a new project
      3. View the project in the administration section of JIRA
      4. Where it says "Issue Type Scheme:" click Edit
      5. Make some modification to the scheme (i.e. either add or remove an issue type, or change the default type)
      6. Click the Save button

      Expected:

      • User is taken back to either the list of Issue Type Schemes or the Project Admin view

      Actual:

User sees the "Session Expired" page with the following information:

JIRA could not complete this action due to a missing form token.

You may have been away from your web browser for a while, which could have resulted in the expiry of your current form token. A new form token has been reissued.

JIRA administrators : Please refer to this page for details on disabling form token checking.

      Problematic action : SelectIssueTypeSchemeForProject.jspa

The original input has been captured and you can retry the operation.

Sorry, but any file attachments in the original input will be lost.

Note that editing the Issue Type Scheme without going through the Project Admin screen (i.e. going to Issue Types > Issue Types Scheme > Edit) does not result in this problem.
