Single and Bulk issue moves do not move attachment thumbnails properly

      When performing issue move operations the attachment thumbnails in the data directory are not moved across properly.
      Tested with both the standard Move workflow operation on the View Issue screen and Bulk Move through the Issue Navigator.

      • Single move:
        • attachments moved across to new project issue
        • thumbnails copied across to new project issue, leaving original copy behind in old project issue
      • Bulk move:
        • attachments moved across to new project issue
        • thumbnails not copied across to new project issue, leaving original copy behind in old project issue

            Hi,

            We also need this functionlity asap since we manage a very large instance of Jira more than 200k issues,and archive on a regular basis.
            We find it cumbersome each time to remove the attachments manually from the source.

            I experience this issue in JIRA 3.13-#330. At the end of move and bulk move operations, they should also delete the original issue's attachment folder to prevent increasing number of attachment directories under a project, which will lead to attachment directory structure exceed maximum file handles http://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-19873.
