Re-work issue linking to behave more like a workflow

    • We collect Jira feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

      I propose that issue linking get a face-lift to make it into more of a workflow. Integrate ad-hoc filter creation as a part of the workflow.

      The pop-up dialog, which is limited to already existing filters and has a hard-limit of 50 entries, is a different UI paradigm than any other feature that can be found in the rest of JIRA.

      The limit of 50 entries in the pop-up dialog is the hardest part to live with, and was the catalyst to begin this train of thought.

            At this time we will not be adding those features as we've set the new link issue dialogue box for a future version.
            We do not anticipate making any other changes to this in the foreseeable future.

            I'll close this in the mean time to keep things tidy on our end.
            If we ever look into your request again I'll be sure to reopen this issue.

            This request was for a tweak to the pop-up. Lack of interest was cited as the reason for not implementing it.
