We recently upgraded to Jira 4.0. We had a pending configuration issue, to which we found some kind of solutions:

So my question where is the workaround for the much wanted feature: "Make a (Custom)Field required in a certain Workflow transition"
How can this be set up in Jira 4?

            [JRASERVER-20145] Required Fields on Workflow-transition

            Thanks Michael,
I've linked the two issues together.

For all those interested in this feature please watch JRA-5783.

            Cheers,
            Roy

JSU is in limbo - please make sure there is a public JIRA issue that tracks Atlassian's effort on restoring this critical functionality

            Hello Roy,

Can or should this issue be reopened or linked to the other issue JRA-5783 in light of the discontinued support of JSU by the developer and Bryan Rollins statement that Atlassian is "committed to finding a way to make the functionality in JIRA Suite Utilities available to customers again, including a JIRA 4.3 compatible version of all the features in the plugin"?

            Hi Erwin,

It seems as thought the third party plugin you link to does support your JIRA version (4.0). You might like to contact the author to get it verified for 4.1 as well if you have upgraded recently.

Otherwise you will need to create your own transition plugin that does this and our local Atlassian partners might be able to help.

I'll close this in the mean time to keep things tidy on our end.
If we ever look into your request again I'll be sure to reopen this issue.
            Thanks for your suggestion.

            Cheers,
            Roy
