I've just clocked it in Firefox 3.5 and 3.6 on Windows XP. I haven't got the dev/test system to hand, but I'll give Doros's fix a try tomorrow.

Added - Yep, swapping to English (UK) fixed it here.

Changing the language as suggested by Doros has worked for me. Thanks Doros!

We're suffering from this issue on all activity stream views, and unfortunately the above fix has not worked for us.
We're using 4.0.1, and have tested it in IE8, FF and Chrome (latest versions)

I fixed this issue by going to 'Administration' -> 'General Configuration'

Click 'Edit Configuration' at the very bottom.

Under Internationalization set the Default Language to 'English (UK)' instead of the selected 'English (United Kingdom) [Default]'

Yes I do not understand WHY that works since UK is well... United Kingdom but it get rids ot this date-en-GB.js error (for me)

            Hope it helps

Seeing this issue in activity streams for all projects since upgrading to 4.0.1
            It's not a deal-breaker though.
            I see it when using:
Chrome 3 Stable on XP SP3
            Firefox 3.5.5 on XP SP3
            IE 8 on XP SP3,
so it's definitely not isolated to IE6
