It would be nice to have single signon support with JIRA.

Currently JIRA is dependant on OSUSER which does not support Single Signon.

OSUSER with only authenticate a user by passng a userid and password. What I would like is an authenticate method where only the request uis being passed. This would enable the ability to write your own credentialsProviders that detect who the user is from the request (becouse they have already ben authenticated to site by some other means) and therefor do not need to be promted for a user id or password.
