Ability to clone / copy a Gadget

      NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Server. Using JIRA Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

      Cloning a gadget would copy the configs of an existing gadget, display a new gadget underneath the original, initially in "Edit" mode.

      Any OAuth shenanigans will presumably still need to occur.

            +1 Really need to be able to duplicate/clone gadgets without having to search, add gadget and re-configure it. Cloud can do it, server needs to be able to as well.

            I don't know why we can't clone native gadgets, especially Filter Results.

            Why doesn't this exist yet? Pleaaaase implement this! With custom charts it takes too long to replicate the configuration...cloning a custom chart would be great!

            +1 Please add copy/clone a gadget, changing a filter would be much easier than completely recreating the gadget.

            Please! This would be especially helpful with Filter Results, where the same fields are required for like gadgets looking at different filters.

            It really kills me when I see these basic basic feature requests and they are well over a decade old. Why?
