PART 2: Un activated Index directory has bad Issue navigator behaviour

I had a 4.0 BETA instance where the index directory was no longer valid.

When I went to the issue navigator it did....nothing. It seems like I had NO issues as opposed to no index.

The old code you to crash with a 500 statck trace (BAD) but at least you know the indexes where bad.

We need to handle this better from a support impact point of view.

That or stop pretending that JIRA can run without an index!

Brenden asked me to raise this against JQL. I am not sure its the culprit however.
