      NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Server. Using JIRA Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

      Right now if a ticket id is mentioned in the description text of another ticket, this is automatically converted into a link to that ticket. It also is actually stroke through if the ticket is resoved or closed. We consider it quite helpful to not only have a strike through but also to be able to display more properties of the tickets mentioned such as status, progress, ...

      Some macro like

      {ticket:id=PROJECT-1234|show=id,assignee,status,progress}

      If the descrition text explains more details on the relationship to other tickets than just the links section it could be really helpful to directly see the status in the text.
