when adding users the email address is not 'trimmed'. This causes 'invisible' spaces in the email address and services which use email to match a valid user to fail.

Found this problem when looking into why our com.atlassian.jira.service.services.pop.PopService was using the default email and not the valid user email to identify who sent in the new issue comment.
