Description
When selecting entities to be a "group" role member for a project, it is possible to select a user.
If you give an unknown name (neither user or group), an error is properly raised.
But if you give an existing user name for a group, JIRA accepts it as group role member and even propose to browse its member ! Really odd.
Of course, the role is not applied to that user inserted as a group.
I agree I may be tired when I have selected users in the group picker but the JIRA behavior is - let say - unexpected.
So the entity from the group picker should be validated before added as a group role,
and the "ViewGroup" action should also validate the "name" parameter.
