Description
NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Server. Using JIRA Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.
Sometimes I need to close JIRA down due to maintenance.
Right now I do this by only allowing JIRA administrators to login. This has the bad side effect that anybody else are told that "Sorry, your username and password are incorrect - please try again.". Then they try to require a new password (and do this about 3 times before they contact me).
If they instead got the message "Sorry, you are not able to login at the moment due to system maintenance" it would be much better.
