Searching for assigned-to does not find all the appropriate matches

      Click on the assignee here https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/FE-115
      then click on her "User Filters - Assigned - all" link on the RHS.
      The original issue in issue (FE-115) does not appear in the list.

      I don't know if this is the root cause, but I assigned that issue to her from the Edit Issue screen. After hitting Submit, the POST was taking a while, and I might have clicked-away (ie I went to another page before the http response had (fully) returned).
      Perhaps that interrupted the indexing that JIRA performs on each issue update?

            The assignment was done exactly at midnight which caused the index update to timeout I have redindexed the issue now and it turns up in the resulsts.

            The actual problem will be fixed in JIRA 4.0 by JRA-15549.

            Thanks Brad. I may have beaten the filter originally, but the problem still persists today. Maybe that update to FE-115 never made it into the index?

            For example, Anna is the assignee of https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/FE-115
            But FE-115 does not appear in this list

            It is possible that the indexing of the issue had not completed before you got a result back from the filter.

            The filter results are always populated from the current index state and hence you could have beaten the index update.

            JAC had an outage yesterday based and we have been having performance problems in one of the plugins. We are investigating.
