Jira should not allow more than one user to edit an issue report at any given time

      Currently JIRA allows two or more users to edit issue reports simultaneously. The last person to save the issue report will have their changes retained by JIRA while all other changes will be lost.

      DESIRED: JIRA should disable issue editing for all other users if someone has already begun editing an issue, or at least deliver a warning that someone is already editing the issue.

            Hi Anton,
            Thanks for clearing this up. I spoke with someone in tech support yesterday and they were unaware of any existing requests of this nature, and suggested I enter an issue report. I searched the existing issue reports and couldn't find a duplicate, though having read through JIRA-6146 I realize I was using the wrong search terms.

            This is a duplicate of JRA-6146 and therefore I will resolve this issue.

            Please vote for JRA-6146 and add yourself as a watcher to it.
