Performance Instrumentation of JIRA.

    • We collect Jira feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

      NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Server. Using JIRA Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

      This is a placeholder issue for Brads 20% time project.

      My goal is to place coarse performance instrumentation into JIRA and record this into RRD database.

      From those RRD stats, graphs of general performance will be made available to admins and to JIRA support staff.

      Initially the instrumentation will be very coarse. eg num of web requests, time of web requests, time of database requests etc.. This may change over time.

      The goal is that instrumentation will have virtually no effect on JIRA performance.
