Resolution: Won't Fix

None
NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Server. Using JIRA Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.
On the Look & Feel page, we allow users to specify a URL for the JIRA logo (displayed in the header). This can be absolute (http://...) or relative to the JIRA webapp root.
The problem is:
- Many admins do not have access to upload images to the JIRA webapp, and anyway any image there will be lost on the next JIRA upgrade, unless explicitly copied.
- An absolute http:// URL to an image will result in an IE "This page contains both secure and nonsecure items" warning when JIRA is used over https.
So if you're running over https and don't have a public https URL for your image, you're out of luck.
JIRA needs a mechanism whereby customers can upload their logo image, and have it served within the JIRA URL space.
