Hi,
I have a support case in which customer is having a problem in printing colours in statistical bars of project portlet.
He is experiencing white bars instead of color in statistical bars when printing to file using Adobe PDF and when printing with printer.
Jeff has provide the html code snippet to replicate the same problem in my system . This representative of how we produce the statistical bar
<html> <body> <table> <tr><td bgcolor="red" height=100 width=100><img width=100 src="bar.gif"/></td></tr> </table> </body> </html>
bar.gif contains transparent section in middle and a opaque sections at each end.when the above sample page is printed, the red doesn't appear in the middle section.
It would seem printer drivers don't correctly render transparent images. Jeff suggested we could instead use CSS to produce the correct statistic bars.
I tried printing and saving postscript to a file, both of these produces the same problem that customer observed.
Please note that we have changed browser setting to print background images. In Fire fox, we have enabled the Print background images under File-> Page Setup.
I can view color bars correctly during print preview but not in printing.
Regards,
Prathima.
