A customer made the following support request. I will resolve that request and let the customer know to track it here instead.

      Kind regards,
      Ian

Jira currently cannot print information from separate custom-made tabs on an issue. The only way to print all the data is to click on each tab and print each one separately, which makes it a very tedious process.

The problem is greater if we need to print out all issues from the Issue Navigator by clicking on "Full Content". It only displays data from the first tab. This is causing the printing out of multiple issues for our weekly meetings very difficult.

The tabs are a great tool in separating out different kinds of data, and it would be great if the information can be printed out easily all in one go. Therefore, please kindly consider addressing the issue in a near-future release. Thanks for your help.

            Hi Anton,

I'm afraid I may have given you a bum steer.

JIRA is not including the content of custom issue tabs in Full Content view of an issue filter, nor in the printable view of the issue browser, as I reported. However I'm not sure that it is meant to...

However, for custom fields that you have added to new tabs that you have added to screens, JIRA is including the content of custom issue tabs in Full Content view of an issue filter, and in the printable view of the issue browser.

So JIRA is showing all custom fields, but not content in custom issue tabs, which is usually external content, e.g. Subversion repository information.

So perhaps it is not a bug after all.

Note also that my support customer - JSP-12734 - came back today with the following reply:

            Hi Ian,

This issue has been raised erroneously. I was trying to cancel this issue while it was being saved. The issue was raised in JSP-12735 instead, which Eddie Kua explained to me the way to print all contents, and I am happy with the explanation. Thanks.

So it is a non-issue for the customer as well.

            Cheers,
            Ian

            Hi Anton,

I have confirmed that custom tab content does not appear in the Full Content view.

Attached is a very simple custom issue tab plugin that I wrote. It appears as a custom tab, and its content appears in the All tab, since I am returning true from MyIssueAction.isDisplayActionAllTab(). However its content does not appear in the Full Content View of an issue filter.

Do you want me to fire up a separate issue to track specifically the Full Content view bug, or will this issue suffice?

            Cheers,
            Ian

TThe full content view is meant to be used to print out an issue. The full content view is meant to show custom fields across all tabs, not just the first one. If JIRA indeed shows the contents of only the first tab on the Full Content view, then this is a bug.

            Can we verify it please?

            Cheers,
            Anton
