Hi,
My organization is a small Managed Service Provider focusing on Linux, VMware, and Security with clients throughout Southern California. We currently have Jira deployed to provide a support interface for our clients. Each client gets their own queue for support requests and project issue tracking. Unfortunately, when issues like a security vulnerability or new patch that impacts a particular technology that may be deployed across multiple customers occur, we have to create seperate tickets in each client queue and update each of these tickets with any general information we later receive.
What we would like instead is to be able to create a specific queue per general technology (vmware), but have the queue act in such a manner that any tickets created in it are automatically cloned as subtasks for each impacted client queue (client queues would subscribe to the master ticket queues). The subtasks would generall be managed and updated seperately as each client would have their own schedule/issues associated with resolution — but it would be nice if we could provide general information updates to all clients on a task by adding additional comments to the master ticket.
Please advise if you guys think this could ever be implemented in Jira.
Regards,
M. Marlowe
