Description
For example I have two projects and two users in JIRA:
Project1
Prooject2
user1
user2.
I want to do following:
user1 sees Project1 only
user2 sees Project2 only
To do that I do following:
1. Create two User Groups:
- UserGroup1
- UserGroup2
2. Add User1 into UserGroup1, add User2 into UserGroup2
3. add custom field "BrowseProject" (Group Picker type)
4. configure this custom field with several Contexts acording to each project: - "UserGroup1" value for Project1
- "UserGroup2" value for Project2
5. Chage my Permission Scheme to:
5.1. Choose "Browse Project" permission.
5.2. Delete all Users/Groups from that "Browse Project" permission.
5.3. Add Group Selector permission with value "BrowseProject" into "Browse Project" permission
6. login under user1 or user2.
7.
Current behavior: both user1 and user2 see all projects. Both user1 and user2 can create new Issue for all projects.
Suspected behavior: user1 should see Project1 only; user2 see Project2 only
BUG: user1 should NOT know about Project2 at all; user2 should NOT know about Project1 at all.
Actually, I have several hundreds projects, that is why I need one unique way to manage users accessing to every project. Using custom field and ability to choose castom field value in permissions I can reach what I need.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
I tell you more. If I assign any custom field with Browse Project permission then every user got that permission.
P.S. I really need this bug to be fixed ASAP. Or, at least, can somebody provide me some information about this feature? Does it work at all or, maybe, I do something wrong?
