Problem Statement:

The new Quick Create experience is designed to be a streamlined, high-speed way to capture work. The Reporter field is abstracted away in this view because it defaults to the creator (the logged-in user).

• By defaulting this value, the form remains simplified for faster issue creation.

To modify the reporter, users must either switch to the Full Form view or permanently set their default create preference to the Full Form.

Suggested Solution:

Provide an option to include the Reporter field in the compact Quick Create modal (via the field chips / Show more fields picker) when the field is present on the project's create screen layout.

Respect the standard Modify Reporter project permission so authorized users can adjust the reporter directly without expanding the modal.

Current Workaround:

Click the Expand icon (diagonal arrows in the top-right corner of the modal) to switch to the Full Form where the Reporter field is available.

Set the Full Form as default by selecting More actions (•••) > Always open in this view.
