Feature request summary
Jira Cloud should support inline images in rich text, allowing two or more images to appear side by side and alongside leading or surrounding text, in line with the experience available in Jira Data Center.
This feature should also allow inline images to be resized so users can control how each image appears within the surrounding content.

Requested capability
Provide support in Jira Cloud for placing multiple images inline, side by side, with text before, after, or around the images.
When content is migrated from Jira Data Center to Jira Cloud, images that were previously embedded inline should retain an equivalent layout wherever possible.
Inline images must be resizable, including the ability to adjust their displayed width so they fit naturally within the surrounding text and page layout.
Use cases
- Users can paste two or more images next to each other in a work item description or comment.
- Users can include leading or surrounding explanatory text with inline images without the images being forced into a vertical layout.
- Teams migrating from Jira Data Center can preserve image-heavy content that was authored using inline, side-by-side image layouts.
- Users can resize inline images after insertion to improve readability and presentation.
Desired outcome
Jira Cloud should offer an inline image experience that supports side-by-side placement, surrounding text, and image resizing. This would reduce manual formatting effort and improve parity for migrated content from Jira Data Center.
Current alternatives
Users can partially approximate this layout by placing images in table cells or by using wrap left and wrap right options. These alternatives do not fully replace native inline, resizable image support.
Note that the inline image option available in Confluence is not currently available in Jira.
