Currently, a new user experience on the Jira Cloud "For You" page (/jira/for-you?tab=assigned) is observed where left-clicking an assigned work item opens it in a side panel. While this is intended to improve navigation speed, some users prefer the traditional behaviour where clicking an issue navigates them to the full issue page view.

Users enrolled in this experiment currently have no way to opt out or choose their preferred viewing experience, leading to workflow disruption for those who rely on the full-page layout for detailed work.

Steps to Reproduce:

• Navigate to the Jira "For You" page.
• Select the Assigned tab.
• Left-click on any assigned issue.
• Result: The issue opens in a side panel.

Suggestion:

• Implement a user-level preference or a toggle switch on the "For You" page that allows users to choose whether issues should open in the Side Panel or as a Full Page.

• Ensure that standard browser behaviors (like Cmd/Ctrl + Click for new tabs) remain consistent and functional regardless of the chosen view.

Workaround

Users can currently right-click the issue and select "Open in new tab" or use Cmd/Ctrl + Click to bypass the side panel and open the full page.
