Issue Summary
Within an organization where users work with Plans in (for example) English and German as their preferred language, filtering specific status categories may yield different results in both languages, despite using the same saved view.
Assuming a scenario where the work item sources contain a specific project (to exclude any filter-related issues), and some Epics have child work items being displayed on the Timeline.
Steps to Reproduce
- In a Plan timeline, add a filter like Status IS and (just an example) tick/enable the To Do and In Progress status categories while having English as the preferred language.
- Switch to German (Deutsch) on the account settings page, and wait a couple of minutes (2-3) so that the Plan Timeline will show everything in German.
- Access the very same saved view.
Expected Results
The same set of work items is shown on the Plan Timeline, no matter if English or German is used as the preferred language.
Actual Results
Only statuses that are not auto-translated into German remain selected in the Status IS dropdown, while all other statuses are automatically deselected, resulting in missing work items being displayed on the Plan Timeline. This may only affect the child work items.
Workaround
Ensure that either:
- The affected users adjust the filter to include the initial status categories, AND/OR
- Adjust the status categories in the filter and save the view (due to the nature of the bug, this might not work as expected) so that it'll apply for all users working in the given saved view.
