      Issue Summary

Setting up approval on a workflow status does not apply retroactively on work items already in that status

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Create a few different work items in a Jira CMS space and ensure that they are in different statuses.
      2. Setup "Approval" on the workflow for a specific status.
      3. Once done check for a work item on the specific status where approval is setup. You would not see the Approval field.
      4. If you transition the item to another status and back to the status where Approval field is setup, then it shows up.

      Expected Results

Once "Approval" is setup it retroactively applies to all the items already in that status. This is important because customers have 1000s of work items already on the status and have multiple dependencies based on it.

      Actual Results

The work items already on this status does not show the approval, and can be transitioned out of the status without the approval which creates a level of confusion.

      Workaround

Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
