Issue Summary
When pasting an image that has been copied from the Print Screen into Jira Cloud Work item Comment box, and saving the comment, it throws the errro:
We couldn't save your comment
It might be empty or have invalid formatting. If you copy-pasted, try removing the formatting and adding it directly in the editor.
Steps to Reproduce
- Open the work item
- Wait 10-20 mins
- Reply to the comment
- Use Print Screen (PrtScn) to create a screenshot and just put it in the comment
- Save the comment.
- You will see the error:
We couldn't save your comment
It might be empty or have invalid formatting. If you copy-pasted, try removing the formatting and adding it directly in the editor.

upload an image/screenshot/video from your device - Try to save a comment.
One more time What matters is not where or what, but when (after some time of inactivity for example 10- 20 min).
Expected Results
The comment with the image to be saved.
Actual Results
we see the error:
We couldn't save your comment

When checking the dev tool, it says:
Status Code:403
"Token verification failed"
Workaround
To refresh the browser tab before adding the comment. This forces Jira to generate a fresh, valid Media token.
