Per our public docs, Atlassian Backup and Restore currently does not support data residency and backups “will not be pinned to your chosen data residency location”:

This is a gap for customers who’ve pinned their Jira/Confluence data to a specific location (for example, EU, Germany, UK, India) and expect all Atlassian‑managed copies, including backups, to remain in‑region.

Add full data residency support for Atlassian Backup and Restore so that Backups are stored in the same region/location as the site’s pinned data.
