Issue Summary
The users cannot quickly dismiss subtask notifications.
Steps to Reproduce
- Open the Jira/JSM Cloud homepage.
- Navigate to the Sidebar, expand "Spaces", and open any space.
- Navigate to the "List" link, activate it, and open any work item from the data table.
- Activate the "Add or create work related to this Task" menu and select "Create subtask".
- Fill in the "What needs to be done?" field.
- Using a keyboard or screen reader, navigate to the "Create" button and activate it. Observe that a notification appears at the bottom of the page.
- Attempt to dismiss the notification using only the keyboard. Notice that users must navigate through the entire page to reach and dismiss it.
Screen Recording
Keyboard-only users cannot dismiss notifications quickly
Actual Results
When creating a subtask, a notification appears at the bottom of the page. Although the notification has a dismiss button, keyboard-only users must navigate through the entire page to reach it. There is no keyboard shortcut or quick way to dismiss the notification efficiently. As a result, this increases navigation effort for users who rely on keyboards or assistive technologies.
Expected Results
Keyboard-only and assistive technology users can quickly and easily dismiss subtask notifications.
Apply the following changes:
- Ensure notifications are easily dismissible via keyboard without requiring users to tab through the entire page.
- Provide a keyboard shortcut or another efficient mechanism to dismiss notifications quickly.
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
