Move "Share settings with an existing project" to the beginning of the create project process

XMLWordPrintable

The process to create a new project now requires 5 unneeded steps before you can select "share settings with an existing project". Once you select that option, all your previous selections are negated.

      Existing Process

With the new change to Create Project, I have to do this:

      1. Projects > Create Project

      2. Pick any template.

      3. Click "Use template"

      4. Click "Select a company managed project"

      5. Select "Share settings with an existing project"

      6. Select the project you want to base it on.

Previously, on the Select a Template page, there was an option to skip the template selection process and go straight to "share settings with an existing project".

Desired change: Please move this option back to the Select a Template page, so we don't have to go through 5 unneeded steps before we can accomplish our task.

      Desired process:

      1. Projects > Create Project

      2. Pick any template OR pick "Share settings with an existing project"

      3. Select the project you want to base it on.

All the new templates are wonderful, but if you are just trying to copy a project, all that stuff is just in the way.
